Bakery & Cakes has been serving the Lake Conroe and all of the Montgomery County area in Texas since December of 2000. Bakery & Cakes is owned by a mother and daughter team of Bettye Cross and Paula J. West.

Bettye has been cooking and baking for over 25 years. Before moving to the Conroe area, Bettye had a bakery in Columbus, Texas for ten years. The potential business and commerce in the Conroe area and the absence of traditional fruit kolaches inspired Bettye and Paula to open a bakery in Montgomery County.

Paula has followed in her mother’s footsteps and is a Summer 2002 graduate of the Art Institute of Houston with an Associate of Applied Science Degree. Paula is also a Certified Culinarian.

This mother and daughter combination strive to make all of their designs realistic and customer appealing. Bakery & Cakes has been featured in The Houston Chronicle's Dining Guide, the Conroe Courier, and in the Texas Co-Op Power.
